Become a Merit Badge Counselor

Step 1: Complete and Submit Adult Application

1. Complete the Adult Membership Application (Position Code 42 Merit Badge Counselor)
2. Complete the Adult Leader CORI Form
3. Complete the Additional Disclosures & Background Check
4. Complete the Youth Protection Training on my.scouting.org
5. Submit each of these items to the Mayflower Council via email c/o Marcella at membership@mayflowerbsa.org

Step 2: Submit Merit Badge Request

1. Submit the Merit Badge Counselor Information form online to indicate the merit badges for which you want to serve as a counselor

Once both steps are complete, your application will be reviewed by the council. Once approved, your merit badges will appear on my.scouting.org.
